Terms of service

Last updated on 2026-09-27. Written in plain English on purpose: the short version is the whole version.

1. What PoketProject is

PoketProject is a website and a set of tools that keep a map of a software project: features, flows, API routes, tables, servers, rules, decisions and more, stored as .poket files in your repo. The website holds a copy of those files so your team can read, review and edit them, and so AI agents can read and propose changes through MCP.

It is in early access. Things will change, and some features are marked as coming.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the website. Keep your password and access keys to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your keys. Tell us at once if you think a key or password has leaked; you can revoke a key yourself at any time.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Your content stays yours

Everything you upload or sync (your .poket files, project names, descriptions) stays yours. We use it only to run the service for you and your workspace: store it, show it to the people you invite, serve it to the agents you connect, and back it up.

We never train an AI model on your content, and we do not sell it. PoketProject runs no AI model of its own on your code; your own coding agent writes the docs.

4. Agents write drafts

What an AI agent writes through PoketProject is a draft (Needs review) until a person in your workspace checks it. Rules, decisions and secret references always need an admin. You are responsible for reviewing what your agents propose before you rely on it.

5. The secrets promise, both ways

PoketProject stores references to secrets: where a value lives, who owns it, which services use it. It never stores the value. Every write is scanned and a file that looks like it holds a secret value is refused.

In return, you agree not to try to store secret values in PoketProject, and to store your access keys outside your repo (for example as an environment variable).

6. Fair use

Do not use PoketProject to break the law, to attack the service or other people, to send spam, or to store content you have no right to store. Do not try to get around the limits or to reach other workspaces' data. If you do, we can suspend or close the account.

7. The free plan and limits

The service is free during early access. The free plan has limits, printed on the pricing page and next to the controls they apply to. Over the limit you can still read and download; you cannot add until you free space. Paid plans and their prices are set after the beta, and anyone on the free plan keeps it.

8. Export and deletion

You can download everything in a project as .poket files at any time, and delete a project or your whole account yourself. Deleted data is removed from the live database at once and from backups within 14 days. Projects with no activity for 90 days may be archived after an email warning; nothing is deleted without you.

9. No warranty during early access

PoketProject is provided as is. We work hard to keep it up and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep the repo as your source of truth: it is, by design.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during early access, is nothing).

10. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you disagree, export your data and close your account.
